Faculty-Staff Achievements
Joseph P. Cermatori, assistant professor of English, has received a 2022 research fellowship for the Yale University Beinecke Rare Book
and Manuscript Library in New Haven, Connecticut. The fellowship will grant Cermatori
the opportunity to spend this summer studying the library's archival holdings related
to the American novelist and playwright Thornton Wilder. Cermatori is compiling a
newly edited anthology of Wilder's collected nonfiction writings for publication in
2023.
Eliza F. Kent, professor of religious studies, participated in a panel at the South Asian Studies Association meeting at Loyola Marymount University on March 12 on 鈥淎uroville: The City the Earth Needs, Cult or Utopia?,鈥� a series of reflections on Akash Kapur鈥檚 new book, 鈥淏etter to Have Gone: Love, Death and the Quest for Utopia in Auroville鈥� (Scribner books, 2021).
Timothy L. Harper, associate professor of management and business, gave a presentation on March 22 on 鈥淒iversity, Equity, and Inclusion: An Opportunity
for Business to Lead" as part of Ethics Week at Marist College School of Management.

Sonia Silva, associate professor of anthropology, published her essay 鈥淭ouch and Other Senses: Feeling the Truth in Basket Divination"
